1. 128. SNMP
1.1. - simple network management protocol o is a tool which allows us to administer and manage network devices from hopefully a single source where we can do whatever we need to do now
1.2. - SNMP version 1 doesn’t support encryption
1.3. - An SNMP community : the community is simply an organization of manage devices so you can set up a community for all the first four switches or you can set up a community for all the devices that are in our network
1.4. - SNMP uses UDP port 161 or port 10161 when use TLS
2. 129. Documenting logs
2.1. - there’s different types of logs : applications logs , user log , setup log , system log
2.2. - Event viewer is a windows tool that displays various types of logs
2.3. - MIB is built in to every managed devices so the NMS can extract data
2.4. - setup log is look for problem or error information following a failed windows .
