2.2. Appropriate Use: Lisa is online using chat rooms, video games, and communication websites. For everything she does she puts a password on and does not put on any personal information.

2.3. Inappropriate Use: Lexi goes online to use chat rooms and communication websites, she puts on all her personal information with no passwords restricting other people from seeing it.

3. Digital Literacy

3.1. Definition: The capability to use digital technology and knowing when and how to use it.

3.2. Appropritate Use: Kallie goes online to take a test she missed for one of her teachers. She is worried about failing but tries her best.

3.3. Inappropriate Use: Mike missed a test and has to make it up for his science class. He didn't study and knew his friend Tyler already took the test and passed. He takes his phone out and texts Tyler for the answers.

4. Digital Rights and Responsibilites

4.1. Definition: The privileges and freedoms extended to all digital technology users, and the behavioral expectations that come with them.

4.2. Appropriate Use: Johny goes on an online chat room and see bullying to another student being started. He got asked to join along but instead, logged off the chat room.

4.3. Inappropriate Use: Nick was online in a chat room where bullying was going on and he joined in.

5.1. Definition: The legal rights and restrictions governing technology use.

5.2. Appropriate Use: Sarah uses the internet to write a research a paper and she cites where she got her information.

5.3. Inappropriate Use: Leah goes online and copies and pastes a research paper and hands it in to her teacher.

6. Dital Commerce

6.1. The buying and selling of goods online

6.2. Appropriate use: Jake was going to buy a invisable cap until he saw at the top of the site in big bold letters. "THIS ITEM WILL NOT WORK THE SAME AS SEEN ON THE WEBSITE!!!"

6.3. Inappropriate use: The invisable cap Jake bought on the internet was actually a fake item. So Jake found out that is didnt work like it said on the site.

7.2. Appropriate use: Samantha called her dad to pick her up from feild hockey practice.

7.3. Inappropriate use: Samantha was caught sexting her boy freind.

8. Digital Etiquette

8.1. The standards of conduct expected by other digital technology users

8.2. Appropriate use: Jordan wanted to use his phone to call his mom as the plane was taking off. But Jordan relized that the call could mess up the plane. Jordan waited until he landed to call her.

9.3. Inappropriate use: Jeff and five of his classmates were not aloud to use computers. While the rest of the class could use the computers, to work on a project due today.
