1. Digital Security
1.1. The precautions that all technology users must take to gaurantee their personal safety and the security of their network
1.2. Appropriate use: A girl protects her personal information that she put online so only people she know's can see it.
1.3. Inappropriate use: If the girl doesn't protect her information that she will soon probably have a stalker.
2. Digital Health and Wellness
2.1. The elements of physical and psychological well-being related to digital technology use
2.2. Appropriate use: A boy spends maybe an hour or 2 on his computer the day before the test and then studies for a few hours in result of that he passes the test with a A+.
2.3. Inappropriate use: A boy spends over 5 hours a day on his computer the the day before the test in result of that he fails the test.
3. Digital Rights and Responsibilities
3.1. The Privileges and freedoms extended to all digital technology users, and the behavioral expections that come with them
3.2. Appropriate use: A student wants to use a photo online so he emails the person who took the photo to ask for permission to use it.
3.3. Inappropriate use: A student does'nt ask to use the photo and gets caught plagerizing.
4. Digital Literacy
4.1. The capability to use digital technology and knowing when and how to use it
4.2. Appropriate use: If a student uses the internet to help them learn about a certin topic that they have to study for in school.
4.3. Inappropriate use: If a student only uses the internet for social websites like facebook and twitter.
5. Digital Law
5.1. The legal rights and restrictions
5.2. Appropriate use: A student went online for a project
5.3. Inappropriate use: If a student uses a picture and she didn't ask for permission that would be copy writing.
6. Digital Commerce
6.1. Definition: The buying and selling of goods online
6.2. Appropriate Use: Destiny was shopping online, and checked to make sure it was a reliable site to buy from.
6.3. Inappropriate Use: Kylee was shopping online and saw a saw a really good deal, but didn't check if it was reliable, and bought it anyways.
7. Digital Communication
7.1. Definition: The electronic exchange of information
7.2. Appropriate Use: Sarah texted her friend to remind her there was a test the next day.
7.3. Inappropriate Use: Emma texted her friend during a test to find out what an answer was.
8. Digital Etiquette
8.1. Definition: The standards of conduct expected by other digital technology users
8.2. Appropriate Use: Lee was waiting in line at the store, and somebody called him, but he ignored it until he got out of the store.
8.3. Inappropriate Use: Johny was in the store and somebody that he didn't like called him and he started to yell into the phone.
9. Digital Access
9.1. Definition: Full electronic participation in socitey
9.2. Appropriate Use: The teacher let Stacey's class use computers for a project.
9.3. Inappropriate Use: The teacher only let certain groups on the computers.
