3.4. Recommendation from teachers to read more outside of the syllabuses

3.5. From other media products!

3.5.1. Sometimes I encounter a drama review as a Facebook post and see how many people in the comment section loved it as well intrigued me into watching it

4. What time of day do I use 'the media'?

4.1. Basically all day I guess? It's the technology age!

4.1.1. Bad practice: I check my phone notifications first thing in the morning; respond to any texts my friends sent when I was asleep, any new social media updates, any mails from universities

4.1.2. I love Facebook Watch, I spend a lot of time watching those videos in my free time in between study sessions and after meals

4.1.3. Is Microsoft Teams a form of media? I would guess so because we are communicating via this platform. With online schooling, we are have to use it all day.

4.1.4. I read from the news apps on my phone 2 hours before bed because I paid subscription fees for it :)

4.1.5. I'll have YouTube music playlists on or listen to podcasts near my bedtime

4.1.6. Always check my phone for notifications: messages, requests, emails throughout the day

5. Who regulates 'the media' then?

5.1. Social media platforms such as Facebook (which owns Instagram and WhatsApp) are self-regulated. They are faced with legal threats from governments to filter information that goes on to reach millions of others

5.2. All presses and radios in Vietnam are either owned or partially owned by the government.

5.2.1. Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism

5.2.2. Ministry of Information and Communications

6. Access to media contents

6.1. Most contents are available for me at 17 year old so for those I can download and consume them legally

6.2. With some sites that require users to be 18+ such as dating sites, people can just falsely put in an older birth year

6.3. For contents those are unavailable in my regions such as BBC or YouTube for specific regions, I can use VPN to change my region and consume the media

6.4. When I was little I asked my parents to give me consent to download some age-restricted apps
