1. Aesthetics

1.1. The product will be shaped as a box and I am following the Modernism movement, having a clean look but also having a purposeful function. The product will be foldable which means it won't take up much space and will be clean.

2.1. The products purpose is to ensure the wellbeing of pet owners pets in the event of an emergency for example a flood. This product will reduce space in packing when evacuating and decrease the likely hood of pet fatalities. The product will be

3.1. The product is intended for pet owners, who need more assistance when managing their pets in the event of an emergency.

4. Materials, properties and components

4.1. Waterproof, lightweight, foldable/collapsable, should be made out of smooth based material that is hard and sturdy and not weak and thin.

5. Location

5.1. The product will be used outdoors and indoors- Ideally outdoors because it will be used in the event of a natural disaster.

6. Maintenance

6.1. The product will have a smooth surface which makes it easy to clean, you do not need to put it in a washing machine and can be cleaned with a sponge and soap, hose, hand washed etc. To keep the product working you just have to ensure that you do not drop it from a 10 story building.

7. Ergonomics

7.1. The product will be designed ergonomically in the way that it will be able to be carried by the user in a comfortable way. I will need to get anthropometric data on my clients neck size, and back size. I will need to keep in to mind the height of my client so I can design the strap to fit and/or design a adjustable strap.

8. Sizes

8.1. The product will be big enough to fit a cat and a medium-size dog. The product will be able to withstand a weight of a maximum of 10kg. The product will have a base of 297mm by 420mm.

9. Safety

9.1. The product will not have any sharp edges to prevent cutting the pet and the owner. The product will be sturdy so it won't break if it is holding something. The product should be able to float to prevent loosing the product.

10. Environmental economic and social issues

10.1. The product will be reusable and made out of the same material plastic crates are made out of. Economically this product should not cost much so there aren't any major issues on that factor.
