2. going beyond what you want to do
3. the boys/girl in To Kill a Mockingbird have courage to go to the Radley's house and sneak/spy on Boo Radley.
4. the ability to do something that frightens one
5. standing up for your friends
6. saying what you believe, your opinion.
7. standing up for a teacher, telling them they are wrong
8. Atticus, even though he knows he's going to lose, stands up for what he believes in the Tom Robinson case.
9. strength in the face of pain or greif
10. going against one of your friends, even if you don't know if you're right or not.
11. When Scout stands up for herself against Jem, and "defies" him, she fights him, saying that he can't tell her what to do, and whether or not she HAS to be nice to Aunty Alexandria or not.
