3.1. I feel that this book is really sadening and it makes me feel sad for the six million Jews that died between 1933 and 1945

3.2. The mother of Erika was very smart. She gave her daughter a chance to survive in the world and not be one of the killed children.

3.3. The Holocaust was a very difficult thing to try to survive through. your life was determined on what religion. That's like segregation.

5.1. None of the characters display a trait of honesty throughout the story.

5.2. I was surprised by the actions of Erika's mother when she threw her baby off of the train. I was surprised because i never thought she would have the courage to do that.

5.3. One decision that one of the characters made was to throw Erika off the train. I agree with that decision because she decided to give her child a chance in the world.
