1. Cognitive Development-is the thought process which includes remebering, problem solving, etc. It is how a person perceives, thinks, and gain understanding of his or her world (healthofchildren.com). It is the first stage of sensor motor development and it is based on the work of Jean Piaget.

Interactionist- Interactionist perspectives forcus on the contribution of "nuture" It focuses on the primary role of sociocultural interaction in children's development of language knowledge ( Otto,2010). The early work of Vygotsky emphasized the role of social interaction in language development.

3. Behaviorist- The behaviorist perspective emphasizes the role of "nuture". A child's learning occurs due to association between stimuli,response, and events that occurs after the response behavior (Otto, 2010). B.F Skinner, a psychologist, was the founder of behaviorism and made important contribution to the theory.
