1. 1. Analyze

1.1. In the analysis phase, you analyze the current situation in the training including knowledge gaps, business goals, and the intended audience.

1.1.1. Instructional problems are clarified, instructional goals and objectives are established, and the learning environment and learner's existing knowledge and skills are identified.

1.1.1.1. Analysis questions include: What are the business needs driving this project? How do you define success for this project? What do the learners already know? Who is the audience for the training?

2. 2. Design

2.1. The design phase deals with learning objectives, assessment instruments, exercises, content, SME analysis, lesson planning, and media selection. The design phase should be systematic and specific.

2.1.1. In the design phase, you use the information from the analysis phase to make important decisions about your training.

2.1.1.1. In the design phase, a storyboard is created. Also delivery methods, assessments, and the duration of the training is decided upon.

3. 3. Develop

3.1. In the development phase, you begin to build the course in your authoring tools. You develop the course to match the design phase.

3.1.1. In this phase you review the course for any spelling or grammatical errors. You also test the mechanics of the course thoroughly.

3.1.1.1. In the development phase, you will come out with course content.

4. 4. Implement

4.1. In the implementation phase, you will share your completed course with the learner through the LMS.

4.1.1. You will monitor the course for any issues.

4.1.1.1. In the implementation phase, you will come out with a live course in the LMS. Learners can take the course.

5. 5. Evaluate

5.1. The evaluation phase includes obtaining information about the performance of the course and seeing if anything needs to be changed or updated.

5.1.1. Formative evaluation is present at each stage of the ADDIE process. Summative evaluation consist of test design and creating opportunities for feedback from the users.

5.1.1.1. At the end of the evaluation phase, you should have data and takeaways regarding the performance of learners and the course itself.
