1. The most common measures of position are quartiles, deciles, and percentiles.
1.1. quartiles They are measures that divide a set of data into 4 equal parts. These are three values Q1, Q2, Q3 Q1 is the value obtained for n/4. Q2 is the value obtained for 2n/4 Q3 is the value obtained for 3n/4
1.2. Formulas Q1=Lri +(n/4∑F) Vi / fq
2. deciles They are measures that divide a set into 10 equal parts. Here are nine values D1, D2, D3….until you get to D9
2.1. Formula D1=Lri +(n/4∑F) Vi / fq
3. Position measures are values that allow the data set to be divided into equal percentage parts and are used to classify an observation within a population or sample.
4. percentiles Divide a data series into 100 equal parts. The percentiles are 99 and range from P1 to P99
