Glycolysis by Mind Map: Glycolysis

1. Where

1.1. This takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell.

1.1.1. Sub Idea 1

1.1.2. Sub Idea 2

2. Why

2.1. The goal of this is to create ATP. ATP is also energy. So basically glycolysis is another process to make energy.

3. What

3.1. Glycolysis is the breaking down of sugar also the first step of respiration.

3.2. After being through the process of photosynthesis the sugar ends up in the cytoplasm of the cell. NAD+ is the energy that is used to break sugar in half. The halves of sugar are called pyruvic acids. In this process 2 ATPs are made. Seeing how oxygen is not wanted the cell instantly kicks out oxygen.
