1. Output device
1.1. Monitor
1.1.1. Displays computer information on the screen. Works like a digital television screen. Information displayed on a monitor is considered to be in soft copy form.
1.2. Printer
1.2.1. Allows user to print information that is displayed on the monitor. Information is transformed from a "soft copy" to a "hard copy" that can taken anywhere or stored for later use.
2. Input devices
2.1. Mouse
2.1.1. Most common type of pointing device. Found in a variety of shapes and sizes. Available in different designs for assistive devices.
2.2. Keyboard
2.2.1. Laid out like the keys on a typewriter. Enables user to input command into the computer. Like the mouse, has different designs and have keyboards designed to be assistive devices with smaller keys, larger keys, fewer keys, etc.
