1. TPACK

1.1. Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge

1.1.1. To effectively incorporate technology into a classroom teachers must have understanding of 3 components: Technology, Pedagogy, and Content.

1.1.2. Contains 7 different knowledge areas

1.1.3. TPACK framework builds and expands on Shulman's concepts of Pedagogical Content Knowledge.

1.1.4. This framework goes beyond seeing these bases in isolation, but the connection and relationship between them.

1.1.5. The framework is designed in the simple format of a Venn Diagram for visual learners.

2. SAMR

2.1. Purposes the idea of HOW technology might affect teaching and learning while showing the progression of computer technology.

2.1.1. Enhancement

2.1.1.1. Substitution

2.1.1.1.1. Technology can be used to do activities that before did not require the use of technology

2.1.1.2. Augmentation

2.1.1.2.1. Provides and effective way to do simple and common tasks in the classroom

2.1.2. Transformation

2.1.2.1. Modification

2.1.2.1.1. Tasks are completed using technology-simple replacement done in the classroom.

2.1.2.2. Redefinition

2.1.2.2.1. Creating new tasks in the classroom. Previously could not be completed because technology was lacking.

2.2. Integrating technology into education goes through different levels. The higher the level the greater the educational benefit.

3. Philosophy of Teachnology

3.1. Similar to a teacher's Philosophy of Teaching .

3.2. Can change as a teacher becomes more familiar with the uses of technology in the classroom.

3.3. A written statement that outlines how students should use technology in the classroom and describe how they want students to act in the digital world.

3.4. Should be a goal that the teacher wants for the students and themselves to achieve.

3.5. Personal values and beliefs on technology and social media can be incorporated into a Philosophy of Teachnology.
