Various Types of Validity and Reliabilitiy by Mind Map: Various Types of Validity and Reliabilitiy

1. Predictive validity evidence - refers to the results of how well an exam predicts future outcomes.

2. Content Validity Evidence established by inspecting test questions to ensure they correspond to information covered on the exam.

3. Concurrent Criterion-Related Validity Evidence - deals with measures that can be administered jointly with the measure to be validated.

4. Validity - a test has validity evidence if one can demonstrate that it measures what it says it measures.

5. Construct Validity Evidence - relation to other information corresponds with some other theory.

6. Reliability - refers to the consistency and accuracy of a test that have been retaken.

7. Test-Retest - method of estimating reliability - test administered twice and correlation between the two test scores are determined.

8. Alternate Forms - using two equivalent forms of the same exam and correlation between the test scores are determined.

9. Internal Consistency - items throughout an exam should be correlated with each other - often times using the split half method - splitting the exam into two equivalent halves and determining the correlation between them.

10. Split-half methods - each item is assigned to one half of an exam or the other. The total score for each student on each half Is determined then a correlation is made between the two total scores of both halves.

11. Kuder-Richardson method - measures the extent to which items from one test have in common with another test.
