**WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY?**
by Akash Pathania
1. What I think of Technology now
2. Technology is like a special tool we use to make life easier and more fun! For example, the phone your parents use lets them talk to people far away and play games. The TV where you watch cartoons? That’s technology too—it helps bring shows to the screen. It’s not just about phones or TVs, though. Technology is also inside machines, like cars or toys, making them work better. I think of it like magic, but it’s something smart people create to help everyone. It’s everywhere, helping things go faster and work better for us of course.
2.1. My definition
2.2. Technology is all around us in everyday life. like, when we use a phone to call someone, that’s technology helping us connect with others, even if they’re far away. Or when we use a microwave to heat food quickly, bake my favorite cake. Even something as simple as a flashlight, it helps us see in the dark. In a broader philosophical sense, technology is about how humans use their creativity and knowledge to solve problems and improve life. It reflects our desire to make things better and more convenient. How we choose to use technology can shape our experiences and make our lives more enjoyable.
3. My initial thoughts on Technology
4. Before getting into the module, I saw technology mainly as the devices or tools that we use every day like phones, laptops, or my brother's gaming console. It was mostly about convenience, helping us to get things done faster or stay connected with others. I didn’t really think much about what goes on behind the scenes, like the coding, data processing, or whatever the technical stuff goes into the systems that make everything work. It just felt like something that was always there, but I hadn’t thought about it in a deeper, or more complex way.
5. How my perspectove has changed
6. Initially, I saw technology as just the everyday devices like phones, laptops, and gaming consoles that make life more convenient. My focus was on how these tools help us complete tasks faster or stay connected, without much thought to the complex processes behind them. I didn’t consider the coding, data processing, or the intricate systems involved. Now, my view has expanded significantly. Technology is understood as a complex network involving not just gadgets but also the sophisticated systems and innovations that drive them. It’s not just about convenience; it’s about human creativity and problem-solving. Technology influences various aspects of life, from communication to advancements in fields like medicine and education, reflecting a deeper appreciation of how it shapes and improves our daily experiences.
