1. Lesson 2- Rome's population was only 1 or 2% rich. When women went shopping they were accompanied by there slaves. To keep the poor happy they provided entertainment and free food.

1.1. Lesson 3- Romans always believed in the rule of law The senate was the most important part of Roman law. Crime was actually very common in Rome.

1.1.1. lesson 6- What Romans cooked depended on whether they were rich or poor. the poor cooked on small grills, the rich cooked on bigger grills.

1.1.1.1. lesson 8- Roman education depended on what family you were born into. Many poor children went to work instead of school. The wealthy were commonly tutored by there father or by slaves.

1.1.1.1.1. lesson 10- 90% of Romes people lived out in the country. Many of them lived in villas which were large country estates. After they looked after there farms country land owners had many things to do.

2. Intro- In this lesson we will be learning about the center of Romes empire.

2.1. Lesson 4- Roman religion was very important to Rome. They adopted most of there gods from Greece. To tell the gods what body part to eal, they would leave a clay version of that part on a temple table.

2.1.1. lesson 5- Familys were ruled by paterfamilias. This basically meant that the father of the family ruled. Roman family's decided if there baby would live, die, or become a slave.

2.1.1.1. Lesson 7- housing was very different from rich to poor like food. The rich lived in grand houses with indoor pools. The very poorest crowded into apartment buildings.

2.1.1.1.1. Lesson 9- Many of the rich enjoyed plays and musical performances. Rich and poor often settled into public baths. to keep the poor happy they gave them free food and gladiator fights.
