Students demonstate how to differentiate among igneous, sedimentary, and metamor¬phic rocks by referring to their properties and methods of formation (the rock cycle)

1. 5.Students identify methods of formation of sedimentary rocks.
2. 4.Students differentiate the methods of formation of igneous rocks.
3. 6.Students describe methods of formation of metamorphic rocks.
4. Students designs the rock cycle using Glogster. Students will have to state at least 3 facts about each rock. Sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous.
5. Students do independent research using websites provided.
6. Team work! Once students have done independent research. They will be adding their facts into a group graphic organizer using google docs.
7. 1.Students explain how to differentiate properties of igneous rocks.
8. 2.Students demostrate how to differentiate properties of sedimentary rocks.
9. 3.Students describe how to differentiate properties of metamorphic rocks.
10. Write a paragraph about a rock that the teacher gives them. Explaining using senses and knowledge.
11. Teacher will display rocks for students to look at and eventually they will have to pick one and put it into the correct category.
