1. Scarlett

1.1. What is her relationship with Bod?

1.2. How does Bod feel about her?

1.2.1. Scarlett is Bod's childhood friend that went to the barrows to see the oldest grave. Scarlett also believes that Bod is the bravest friend she knew. The evidence is from page 60 when Scarlett is leaving for Scotland.

1.2.2. Bod felt happy about Scarlett because he had just made a new friend which is Scarlett. The evidence is from page 41, " He was not going to argue with his new friend. She made him happy."

2. The Man Jack

2.1. What is his relationship with Bod?

2.1.1. He was sent by his mysterious organisation to kill Bod's whole family, although Bod escaped.

2.2. How does Bod feel about him?

2.2.1. When Bod first learns about him, he wants vengeance. In page 181 of the book, Bod says, "If I go outside in the world, the question isn't 'who will keep me safe from him... It's 'who will keep him safe from me?'"

2.2.2. Later, when Scarlett is in danger, page 262-263 of the book, Bod begins to feel a fear of Jack, because although Jack cannot hurt him, he can hurt his friends.

3. Mother Slaughter

3.1. What is her relationship with Bod?

3.2. How does Bod feel about her?

3.2.1. Mother Slaughter is one of the ghosts who is with Bod when he was a baby and also suggested Silas to take care of Bod. The evidence is from page 23,"But you comes and and you goes and nobody keeps track of you. If you went off for a week, the boy could die. " She also thought that Bod look like her nephew Harry.

3.2.2. He felt uneasy when talking to Mother Slaughter. The evidence is from page 298 when she's cleaning Bod wounds on his forehead and he can't remember having felt before.

4. Silas

4.1. What is his relationship with Bod?

4.1.1. Silas is Nobody Owen's guardian. Silas is able to move between the graveyard and the world of the living, so it is he who provides Bod with food and clothes. Silas could always be counted upon to explain matters clearly and lucidly and as simply as Bod needed in order to understand. The evidence is from page 23, '' I shall be his guardian. I shall remain here, and if I need to leave shall ensure that someone takes my place, bringing the child food and looking after him. '' From page 35-37, we can see that Bod always ask Silas questions and Silas always guide him.
