There already many hydroelectric power plans in CT.
Hydroeletric, the dam is completely emissions free however it has a tendency to disrupt the aquatic life by either taking away too much oxygen in the water or putting in too much.The dam can also flood near by wildlife habits.

Tidal, Tides are created by the gravitational pull of the moon and sun. The theory is that these tides could be used to push turbines to create electricity. One of the tidal power stations is located at the mouth of La Rance River in France. The tides at this river reach a maximum of 44 feet. The dam at this station holds water back until it reaches maximum depth. Then the gates opens to force the water into the river which turns a turbine and generator in the process. The gate then closes and traps the water. At low tide, the gate opens to allow the water to flow out of the river and into the ocean while turning the turbine and generator. The generator creates electricity through this process.
Hydroelectric, The way a hydroelectric dam generates electricity is though water spinning its turbines. water that is being stored behind the dam pushes though pipes and into a turbine which spins the solenoid around the magnet to produce energy.
