I am offered a cigarette by a friend at a party. by Mind Map: I am offered a cigarette by a friend at a party.

1. 1) I can accept the cigarette. 2) I can say 'no' and walk away.

2. The best decision would be to say ‘no’ and walk away. 1) I would reject the cigarette and walk away. 2) I would talk to that friend at school about how bad it is and how she should not do it. 3) If someone ever offered a cigarette to me another time, I would do the same and walk away.

3. If I accept the cigarette: The bad consequence would be that I would probably get addicted and continue smoking. It might also lead to lung cancer, or death. But on the other hand, it's just once and I could hate it and never do it again. Also, I could have something to take away from it and teach others about the harm it could do to you. If I say 'no' and walk away: The bad consequence would be that I wouldn't get addicted and would save some years of my life. But if I don't take the cigarette that time, I could end up being tempted to take it some other time which would lead to a really bad future.

4. If I accept the cigarette and get addicted: My family could kick me out of the house, and my school would probably not want me to study there anymore. Also, friends could feel like the want to help but can't and they could also judge you. If I say 'no' and walk away: My family and friends would be proud, and I will feel better about myself because my values have always been to not smoke or do drugs ever in my life.

5. I think that decision was the right one, and it has worked out perfectly. I’m not addicted to smoking and my life is going great. My friends have agreed with me to not smoke and my family is really proud that I used my common sense at that moment. I learned that one single decision could change your life so much in such a short time, so I’m glad I made the right one. If I could do it again, I wouldn’t do anything differently.
