Reading skills Outcomes & Domains by Mind Map: Reading skills Outcomes & Domains

1. SMART Directives

1.1. Measurable and Timliness

1.1.1. We assess these outcomes based on students ACT scores: both practice and real. The real test will be Oct 25th, we'll have practice tests weekly

1.2. Specific

1.2.1. We'll dissect specific reading outcomes based on domain on the other half of this organizer. Our Kaplan Spotlight text prep book also does a good job of splicing these up, complimenting the CCSS model

1.3. Results & Attainment

1.3.1. We want 75% of our students to achieve at least an 18 on the next ACT reading. Actually, this number isn't wholly representative of how we set goals for students- each student has taken the test previously and has their own stretch goal that has been set by myself and the other co-director of studies. An example of this is Max, who has previously scored a 23- we're aiming for a 25. This is an exceptionally difficult sector for ESL students
