Computer Hardware in the Classroom by Mind Map: Computer Hardware in the Classroom

1. Input Devices

1.1. Any computer peripheral that connects to a computer and you use to enter data.

1.1.1. Example: Flash Drive- A flash drive can be connected to one computer where data can be saved onto it, transported and then connected to another device where the data can be retrieved. This can be beneficial when students need to share information as they can just save data to the flash drive share it with a classmate or teacher. The difficulties with this though are that sometimes files can be misplaced, saved in wrong or incompatible versions and end up non-accessible.

2. Output Devices

2.1. Pieces of hardware that move processes data out of the computer.

2.1.1. Example: Wireless Devices- A wireless device or wireless connection allows for the computer to access the WiFi or internet nearly anywhere wireless internet is provided. This allows for students and teachers to be able to access presentations, classrooms, and data information anywhere. However one of the challenges can be that wireless connections are sometimes unsafe meaning anyone can see the data you are sharing or streaming. Wireless connections can also be unreliable meaning you can loose connectivity causing a disruption in the data you are trying to share.
