2.1. Energy that is stored as a result of a position or shape.
2.2. Stored energy.
2.3. Examples: -Lifting a book. -Ball in the air at the top of it's height.
3. Mechanical Energy
3.1. The energy associated with the motion and position of everyday objects.
3.2. Energy that is with a motion and position
3.3. Examples: -Bouncing balls. -Sprinting athletics.
4. Thermal Energy
4.1. The total potential and kinetic energy related to the motion of all particles in an object.
4.2. Heat energy.
4.3. Examples: -Fire. -Body heat.
5. Chemical Energy
5.1. The energy stored in chemical bonds.
5.2. Energy that is in a chemical bond.
5.3. Examples: -Burning wood. -Cars using gas.

6.1. The energy associated with electric charges.

6.3. Examples: -Lightning. -Flashlights.
7. Electromagnetic Energy
7.1. A form of energy consisting of changing electric and magnetic fields.

8. Nuclear Energy
8.1. The energy stored in an atomic nuclei.
8.2. Energy that is nuclear.
8.3. Examples: -Heat and light of the sun are produced by the fusion of hydrogen nuclei into helium nuclei. -Nuclear bomb.
