1.1. Potable Water:water that is safe for humans to drink.

2.1. Distillation:technique for seperatingsolutions that includes boiling and condensation.
2.2. Hard Water:water containing a high concentration of calcium and magnesium.
2.3. Salinity:amount of dissolved salts in water.
2.4. Water Quality:measure of how many substances besides water in a water sample.
2.5. Reverse Osmosis: movment of water through a membrane from an area of lower water concentration to an area with a higher concentration: technique used to purify water.
