Digital tools, either in the form of search engines, online libraries or specialized websites; ensure academic success for the adult learner.
by John Miller
1. First, search engines offer a "starting point" for individuals to begin collecting information on a particular subject. As described by the University of Bristol Library, "Search engines can be a quick way of finding information."
2. After analyzing each of these digital tools; it is clear that an adult learner can ensure their academic success by utilizing each of them.
3. Online libraries, offer additional resources to perform valid research on a particular subject. As the APUS website notes, "APUS librarians help ensure competency and currency in web information literacy..."
4. Specialized websites however; offer the adult learner an opportunity to review research directed at a particular topic and there are also specialized sites that individuals can utilize to proof their work. Included in the Braintrack.com, "Guide to Online Learning" are a number of specialized resources to enhance a students research.
