Computer Devices (Input Vs. Output)

1. Input Devices are those that send information to the computer but do not receive information. Input devices let users enter commands, data, or programs for processing by the CPU.
1.1. A stylus pen inputs information into our system
1.1.1. A mouse inputs information but does not receive information from our system
2. Output devices receive information from the computer; however, they cannot send information to the computer
2.1. Projectors can output information from the system but cannot input information into the computer.
2.2. Headphones take the sound from the system and output it; these cannot however input new information into the system
3. Some devices fall into a gray area and can both be input and output devices
3.1. The CD-RW drive and flash drive can both input information as well as output information from the system
