1. Columbia

1.1. Columbia was influenced by Martin Luther king J.R and Malcom X. They saw how they would fought for freedom and were not afraid of white people and what they would say about the African-American community

1.2. The Development of Cimmarron and Smith organization showed how the Black culture was starting to be represented by african americans. This development of the black organization started to bring a lot of changes with the columbian nations.

1.3. During this time, Columbia was trying to make everyone equal which allowed land rights to the black community and also improved education towards them. Columbia recognized african americans as an ethic group and gave them rights with the help of the Cimarraanismo to get african americans to be in the politics.

1.4. Columbia was one of the country who has been known to have the most populated African Americans in latin america

2. Indigenous Communities

2.1. The indigenous people lost mostly all of their land and were discriminated and treated unequally.

2.2. They were almost treated as the black community and they also began protesting.

2.3. They also went into wars to ask for rights and brought a lot of changes to Mexico.

2.4. The Chilean government was representing the indigenous people for their rights. Mapuchue people were forced to leave their lands and they couldn't do anything about it.

3. Asian-immigrants

3.1. Asians americans were small groups that were also created in Mexico during the 17th century

3.2. Asian colonies began to exist in America after the Manila trade. During the 19th century Chinese worked on sugar plantations.

3.3. There was approximately 1,000 Koreans in Mexico due to strict Mexican laws.

3.4. The Chinese started to migrate in Cuba,Mexico and Peru. Koreans were showed at Mexico around the 1990's

4. Brazil

4.1. Brazil was known as the country who had the most African American slaves than any other country even though that Columbia had a high rate as well.

4.2. A Study that was made during the 1950's showed how UNESCO sponsored a series of studies that mostly focused on Brazil's racial problem.

4.3. May 13, 1998 was the 100th anniversary of Brazil being a free country. Even though it was set to end slavery the black community protested by saying that slavery was not over.

4.4. Many people believed that race and class in Brazil towards the black community was not good and were not treated as they were supposed too, Until the creation of MNU in 1978 a national black politic was finally brought up into being.

4.5. Afro- Brazilians have now created their groups which they organize as IPDH, CEAP, AND CERNE.

4.6. The black community fought back to earn rights like they did in the United States. They fought for education, social services and power. They wanted to not been seen as a minority.

4.7. According to the Revionist perspective brazil was becoming more capitalist but the Structural perspective was that racial inequality should be run by the military dictatorship.

5. Afro-Mexicans

5.1. Mexico was also mean to the black community. They did recognize them as Mexicans and they would always be discriminated

5.2. The black community did not have resources to get an education as a regular Mexican citizen.

5.3. Gaspar Yanga was the leader of a slave rebellion in Mexico against the Spanish colonial masters around Veracruz, Mexico.

5.4. The Zapatistas movement started as a peasant movement since there was a lot of dishonesty with the Mexican government.
