Machinery: Enabled long-distance travel, reducing geographical barriers, improved the safety and security of society through weapons as detterents, increased productivity and enabled mass-production through the replacement of manual labour with factories and processing plants, allowed for ease of communication with portable devices such as handphones and laptops

6. Weapons: Gave rise to the notion of weaponised warfare and destruction of nations and people, abuse of weapons in petty crimes resulting in harm and damage to both property and lives
