Internet: Enhanced connectivity through linking up of individuals on one big network, ease of access to knowledge and information online, widened social circles by providing more opportunities and platforms for interaction between individuals separated by geographical barriers, allowed constant connection between loved ones, enabled economic progress through the sharing of ideas

Machinery: Enabled long-distance travel, reducing geographical barriers, improved the safety and security of society through weapons as detterents, increased productivity and enabled mass-production through the replacement of manual labour with factories and processing plants, allowed for ease of communication with portable devices such as handphones and laptops

Weapons: Gave rise to the notion of weaponised warfare and destruction of nations and people, abuse of weapons in petty crimes resulting in harm and damage to both property and lives

Computers: Saw the rise of computer-game related violence amongst youth, distortion of mindsets and addiction to such games, constant cover behind a computer screen reducing one's interpersonal skills and ability to interact face-to-face, sedentary lifestyles posing major health risks

Biological Advancement: Caused uproars over the ethical and moral rights of human beings, the issue of humans 'playing God'
