ITC CURRICULUM by Mind Map: ITC CURRICULUM

1. Still Applicable Today?

1.1. I do think the ITC curriculum is still applicable today. Technology is so common and almost essential in the world we live in right now. It is extremely important for students to have at least a basic understanding of the ITC curriculum to function in the work place today.

2. How it works

2.1. There are general and specific outcomes, which are also broken down into divisions (1,2,3,4)

4. Additions or Changes?

4.1. To me the ITC curriculum is still very applicable, but could use some updates. I feel that there are way too many outcomes, some of which are incredibly basic and probably don't need to be included anymore because of the skill set most students are achieving at home, if not at school already. I also don't think that the devisions are necessary, but that each category could just be adjusted as needed by the instructors.

5. What is it?

5.1. Information and Communication Technology curriculum that goes along with the other program of studies. It focuses on what students are expected to be able to know and do, at the different division levels.

6. General Outcomes

6.1. C- Communicating, Inquiring, decision making and problem solving

6.2. F- Foundational Operations, knowledge and operations

6.3. P- Processes for productivity
