Gangster Rap is popular with current generations of Australian adolescents and young adults, despite its promotion of violence and negative stereotyping of women. Is this style of music simple 'the one' that drives a generation from their parents (in the same way punk or rock n roll may have previously) or should society be concerned with the message delivered by this genre of music?

2. Gangster Rap can be a way for these young adults to find an escape from their parents
3. This particular genre of music can be considered a trend or a 'cool person' stereotype. Much like the latest must have gaming system or phone.
4. Rock n Roll, punk and even Gangster rap have all become accepted in todays society. This genre of music can be seen and heard almost everywhere now including the radio, commercials, TV shows, Music shows and so on.
5. This genre hasn't become an alarm for parents anymore because they know that there children can get there hands onto almost anything these days. Being the 21st century, the use of phones and computers has gone through the roof almost everyone from the ages of 6 or earlier even know how to operate a phone. Parents who have these strict rules only drives these young adults to go against them.
