1.1.1.2. I will personally need to learn the socio-cultural parameters and teach it to the students. Students generally have their maximum exposure to cultures from their home environment. Since some of these opinions could be a stereotype of simply non-applicable to the students in the given class it is important to reformulate those initial impressions. This can be done through various ways. I usually ask students to tell a little about themselves which gives some insight to that individual. Bringing different foods that are a family staple (with respect to all cultures) is another fun, interactive and knowledgeable activity. I would promote helpfulness and curiosity in learning new cultures.

1.1.2. Leading by example is very important. Since the students will be watching my behavior and interactions I will play close attention to how I interact with other teachers and parents.
