Soil

1. Soil is something that we can plant corn, beans, and flowers in.

2. Layers of dirt

2.1. The top soil is made up of bugs, leaves, and is usually thin and dark

2.2. The next layer is what most people call Topsoil. This is mostly made of minerals and organic matter.

2.3. The next layer is what some people call subsoil. It is made up of clay and mineral deposits.

2.4. The last layer is called regolith. It is made up mostly of clumps of dirt and rocks.

3. Soil is made up of a lot of things. Some of those things are Dirt, Leaves, Organic Matter, Bugs, Roots and rocks. There are more things but those are some examples

5. Soil can be dusty, sandy, wet, and many more. Some soil can have more organic matter than others. Farmers want their soil to be full of nutrients.
