1. Input devices
1.1. Examples of input devices are keyboards, optical pen, barcode readers, scanners and webcam
1.1.1. An input device can send data to another device, but it cannot receive data from another device
2. Output devices
2.1. Examples of output devices are headphones, computer monitors, printers and speakers.
2.1.1. Output devices can receive data from another device but it cannot send data to another device.
