Children constantly asked questions like ''Who lives in your house?,'' Children constantly encouraged to talk about themselves,'' Where does granny live, do you like your brother? do you have a stepdad?,'' The All About Me project for 3-5 year olds was the perfect start to early years speaking

1.2. Quiet voice Disney pictures, children constantly reminded to speak using their quiet voice and not shout at each other

1.3. What do you like doing? When do we have pumpkins? Is that a big fish? Does the mermaid have legs? Have you got lots of teddy bears? These types of conversation come up easily in the reading corner, all forms of literacy are found throughout the nursery

1.4. Who painted your nails? Who picked the colour? What colour is it? Examples of interaction between staff and children

2. Listening

2.1. Music playing throughout the day,, singing songs, doing actions to song words

2.2. Listening ears Disney pictures promote positive behaviour in children

2.4. Children's favourite lullabies CD, Ziggy's Road Safety CD, nursery rhymes

2.5. Staff speak to children at appropriate volume level for an early years setting

4.6. The majority of wall space in the nursery is covered with interesting displays to read such as the Around the World area, letter magnets also on the radiator
