Types of Schizophrenia

1. Paranoid Schizophrenia
2. Involves allucinations and delusions including grandeur or persecution.
3. Catatonic Schizophrenia
4. The person may remain motionless for long periods, exhibiting "waxy flexibility".
5. Disorganized Schizophrenia
6. Involves incoherent language, inappropriate emotions, giggling for no apparent reason, disorganized motor behavior and hallucinations and delusions.
7. Remission Schizophrenia
8. Refers to anyone whose symptons are completely gone or still exist but aren´t severe enough to have earned a diagnosis of schizophrenia in the first place.
9. Undifferentiated Schizophrenia
10. Encompasses the basic symptoms of schizophrenia, such as deterioration of daily functioning, hallucinations, delusions, inappropriate emotions and thought disorders.
