5.1. Today's online classroom should be a relatively neutral environment. This however vastly depends on the netiquette and civility of the students enrolled. As there is ZERO direct contact or vocal communication; students can quickly become disengaged due to the perceived attitude, language, and effectiveness of their classmates written communication. As an online student we must learn and utilize netiquette and civility at all time while completing our education.

6. Conclusion

6.1. As you can now see, by properly utilizing netiquette and civility in the online classroom, we can maintain a neutral environment for all involved. Adhering to rules of communication will allow the student to present his or her views without being perceived as being impolite. if all students in the online classroom have proper netiquette and civility, the learning experience for all should be enhanced.
