The Mandarin Man by Mind Map: The Mandarin Man

1. Infographics/QR code - PinYin is crucial in the beginning processes of learning Chinese, but can become harmful rather than beneficial once you start to use them as a crutch. I would like to use infographics to introduce PinYin, and QR codes to possibly link to the Chinese characters instead of the PinYin.

2. Pronunciation

2.1. Video - Pronunciation is an incredibly important fundamental of learning Chinese. I would like to create a short but entertaining educational video going over pronunciation.

3. PinYin

4. Getting Started

4.1. Video - Introducing the Chinese language, the difficulties, cultural differences and what to expect from learning the language.

5. Tones

5.1. Infographics - There are four different tones in Chinese that, depending on which one used, will change what you are saying. I will use infographics to show the four different tones, where they lay within your vocal range and how to train your voice to speak tonally.

6. Writing

6.1. Infographics - I am unsure of how I will portray this section as of right now, however, writing is perhaps one of the hardest things about Chinese because you are training your brain to write in pictures.

7. Home

7.1. App functionality - quick and easy access to all pages through mobile devices.
