1.1.1. Everyone finds it easier to say things online rather than face-to-face. Kids need to be aware that they should never say things online that they wouldn't say in person. Teachers should also try to be aware of any potential bullying situations.

1.1.2.1. Snapchat can be a very dangerous form of cyberbullying in which there is no proof because none of the pictures or videos are saved. Teachers should be aware of their students use of such tachnology.

1.2. Sexually Explicit Material

1.2.1. Even a simple internet search of a celebrity can bring up sexual content. Teachers need to be aware of where they are sending kids with regards to research and internet search.

2. Copyright

2.1. Student Ownership

2.1.1. Facebook owns everything you post on their website, students should be aware of what they post!

2.2. Plagiarism

2.2.1. Students should be able to cite resources properly , and not just pull resources from the internet.

3. Privacy

3.1. Who can view?

3.1.1. Not only your friends can view what you post! Be aware that anyone can access online material.

3.2. Facebook

3.2.1. There are a lot of privacy issues regarding facebook. Students should be aware of the potential dangers of posting about private life on social media.

3.3. Smartphones

3.3.1. Personal smartphones can promote privacy breach. Kids sharing photos and other things between their mobile devices can infringe upon others privacy.

4.1.1. Teachers should be aware of what students are viewing and posting online, especially during class time and regarding other students.

4.2. Bullying

4.2.1. Cyberbullying is a huge problem! Teachers need to be aware of what is happening online between students.

5.1.1. All adults know that not all materials found online are trustworthy. Students need to be taught how to be aware of this as well

5.2.1. You cannot trust everyone that you talk to online! Be sure students are aware of who they are talking to and what about

6. Marketing

6.1. Advertisements

6.1.1. The internet is covered from head to toe with advertisements. I read the other day about horror movie commercials on kids youtube videos. Kids need to be aware of how to sort through explicit material, and how to seek guidance regarding it.

6.2. Sexual content

6.2.1. Marketing can display sexual content without warning. Be sure kids are aware of which sites to avoid because of certain forms of advertisement.
