RESISTANCE PER UNIT LENGTH OF THE WIRE
by varun govind
1. AIM:-Determination of resistance per unit length of of a given wire by plotting a graph of current verses potential difference.
2. APPARATUS:-A wire of unknown resistance,Battery,Voltmeter,Ammeter,Plug key and Rheostat and metre scale.
3. PRINCIPLE:-OHM'S LAW::The electric current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference across the ends of the conductor when the temperature and other physical conditions remains constant
4. FORMULA:-1) resistance of the wire,R=1/m Where R=resistance of the wire,m=slope of the graph of current versus potential difference.2)resistance per unit length=R/LWhere L=the length of the experimental wire
