Human Population by Mind Map: Human Population

1. Technology & Food

2. Before the agricultural period farm production was the leading job status back in it's time. Growing seasons were iffy and bugs and pests were often to blame for this occurrence. Food production was slow and couldn't rely later help from pesticides. The human population was at a steady rate and humans had enough food to survive, but not that much. Growth in this period wasn't very big. Although new ways of farming were in progress to help thoose so they could do other occupatiens then farming

3. Surgeries were improved and made safer for the population Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) proved that microscopic organisms caused disease. James Simpson (1811-1870), who was Professor of Midwifery at Edinburgh University, began using chloroform for operations in 1847. 1865 Joseph Lister (1827-1912) discovered antiseptic surgery, which enabled surgeons to perform many more complicated operations.

4. Hand production methods to transferred to machines, new chemical manufacturing and iron production processes, improved efficiency of water power, the increasing use of steam power, the development of machine tools and the rise of the factory system.

5. Technologies

5.1. Food and What Was Available

5.2. Oatcakes, Porridge, Bread and soups, Mutton, Bacon Potatoes Gruel - a thin soup made from oats or potatoes mixed with milk and water, Apples, pears and berries depending on the season Beer – even for children Tea (more expensive than beer, though) Food was produced at faster rates while children were now able to help in factories so that products could be released at faster rates and people had to work less.

6. Pre-agricultural period

6.1. Medicines

6.1.1. As people often traveled in this period we saw more and more medical practices being handled and used from other parts of the world. Though these practices were often lacking in scientific research basic aids were offered to those who needed it. Since this period really wasn't that developed loss was at a huge rate when someone was sick.

7. Industrial period

7.1. Medicens

8. Crops were now able to use chemicals to cause fields to grow more food. High yield crops were used more and produced at fast rates. Chemicals such as pesticides were created ensureing food loss due to pests was at a low. During this period with more field growth the population was able to surge and stay at steady rates as there was enough food to make sure no one went hungry.

8.1. Medicines

9. Agricultural techniques such as irrigation, crop rotation, and application of fertilizers were developed. Easier ways to farm were made such as the plow

9.1. Food

10. Agricultural period

10.1. Medicines

10.1.1. In this period we started to see more advances in medicines even though the loss rate was higer then it is today. Humans started to study new ways to reach cures for thoose who were sick.
