Soil erosion

1. There are 2 types of soil erosion, Gully erosion is the removal of soil caused by surface water runoff along drainage lines.Sheet erosion is the removal of soil in thin layers by overland flow and raindrops.
2. Soil erosion is the removal of topsoil faster than it can be replaced.
3. Contour plowing which is plowing along the contours of land in order to minimize soil erosion.
4. Crop rotation is used to keep soil fertile.
5. Terracing is used to slow down water flow that comes down slopes.
6. There are Techniques of conserving healthy soil.
7. Erosion can have some bad effects like floods and it can also be the cause of infertile soil.
