1. Education problems resolved

1.1. In the Mathematics classroom the teacher, Mrs. Gerrits, decided to make copies of all of the content in order to ensure that the learners do not fall behind the other classes.

1.2. In the Physical Education classroom the teacher, Mr. Zondi clarified the issue of the fact that there were no sport fields and he immediately adapted his lesson and arranged for a meeting to discuss the problem.

2. Education problems

2.1. In the Mathematics classroom the learners did not receive their textbooks until the second week of school.

2.2. In the Physical Education classroom the learners did not have a sport field to play soccer and rugby on. Which led to the fact that the learners could not continue with the curriculum and the teacher had to adapt the curriculum.

3. Parental problems resolved

3.1. The parental problems were a little bit harder to solve due to the fact that the school needed to be a little bit more careful of what they say and how they communicate with the parents. However the prefects were asked to fetch the grade 8's at their vehicles and take them to their classes and introduce them to their fellow classmates.

3.2. The fact that the parents were angry at the fact that the learners lost a few lessons are very acceptable. However the school stated that they will do anything in their power to try and establish a roster for the sub-teacher and sit the learners down in the library to continue with their work for that day.

3.3. The schools stated that they will definitely make work of this and incorporate learners with barriers in their classes. With regard to the physical barriers, the school have arranged a meeting with ADvTECH on the first day of school.

4. The new school building problems

4.1. The windows were a very big problem, because it also influenced the teaching and learning process. However the school have arranged with the company that they are in contract with to adapt the windows during the weekends and not to adapt or fix it during the weekdays when teaching and learning is important.

4.2. The leak detection company came as quickly as they could and unfortunately it was during schooling hours. However in this regard, the team had to be quick because important water are going to waste if they take their time.

4.3. The meeting with ADvTECH went very well on the first day of school, since they have decided to build the school their own sporting fields immediately.

5. Parental problems

5.1. The parents were also acting problematic in the first day of school, because they wanted to greet the teachers and the principal and this led to a traffic jam in the halls.

5.2. Secondly the parents were angry at the fact that the learners could not start with the curriculum right away because of the new school building and all of the admin that goes with it.

5.3. Lastly the parents were angry at the fact that the school does not accommodate learners with barriers, such as physical disability.

6. The new school building problems

6.1. The new school building also caused problems and one of them was that of the windows. The windows cannot close properly and due to that defect there are a lot of break ins during the night or the weekends. Which ultimately led to the fact that the teaching and learning process is influenced, because the people need to come and fix that during schooling hours and that then limits the amount of time a teacher can teach in the class.

6.2. Another reason why the new school building caused problems was because of the leak that was first detected in the science lab, which is on the top level. The water then went all the way down to the ground floor and flood Mrs. Gerrits classroom. That led to the leak detection company coming to school during schooling hours and fix the leak in her classroom whilst the learners were supposed to have Mathematics.
