1.2. a/an with an adjective only without substantive. Examples:

1.2.1. karen is a very good architec (not Karen is a very good)

1.2.2. My uncle is an excellent engineer (not my uncle is an excellent)

1.3. a/an with another decisive. Example:

1.3.1. She is a friend of mine (not she is a my friend)

1.3.2. He is a cousin of mine (not he is a my cousin)
