What I've learned from my Digipak Research
by Aisha Aldris
1. Continuity is important in keeping each image tied together and relevant
2. The digipak should be relevant to the single/album to help create meaning for the audience, and should reflect the album too
3. using vibrant colours is a good way to attract customers attention
4. The most successful digipaks are ones that are different and interesting - I will try to make mine this way.
5. Having an alternative style/aesthetic in the digipak will also attract the eye
6. Mise-en-scene also applies to images in order to help make meaning for an audience
7. A barcode and list of songs along with company rights must be written on a digipak
8. All photos/images used for each cover on the digipak must be of a similar style however not exactly the same
9. you can have hidden meanings in the images or metaphors, it will help entice and attract people to your digipak
10. Its important that the digipak is balanced, it isn't too vibrant as that can become overwhelming - however isn't too boring
