1. Judaism vs Christianity Beliefs

1.1. Jews and Christians both believe in God, however, Christians believe God is one substance made up of 3 persons. While Jews believe God is one substance and is one person. Both religions believe in angels and demons. Christians believe Jesus is the son of God, whereas Jews believe Jesus was a false prophet. They both believe that Jesus was crucified, but Jews don’t believe that Jesus resurrected from the dead like Christians do.

2. Judaism vs Christianity Sacred Places/Rituals

2.1. Christians usually do their worship in churches, chapels, and cathedrals. Jews worship in synagogues, temples, and schuls. When praying Jews will have their heads covered (especially men), but Christians don’t cover their heads.

3.1. Judaism’s sacred text is Tanakh, this is also referred to as the Old Testament. Christians have the Bible, the Bible consist of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Christians believe that the Bible is the literal word of God and is inspired by human accounts. As for Judaism, they believe the Tanakh is inspired human accounts.

4.1. Judaism and Christianity have 3 major branches of their religion. Christianity has Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant. Judaism has Orthodox, Reform, and Conservative. Each branch usually worships and believes a little differently.

5. Views of the Other Religion

5.1. Christianity and Judaism both have their views on each other. Christians believe that Judaism is a true religion, but with incomplete revelation. Jews believe Christianity is a false interpretation of Judaism.

6. Judaism vs Christianity Afterlife Beliefs

6.1. Jews and Christians views on afterlife are somewhat similar. Christians believe that if you have a good afterlife you go to heaven eternally. Jew’s beliefs vary, they either believe you go to heaven or you have no afterlife. Christians believe if you have a bad afterlife you go to hell eternally or for catholics they believe you go to purgatory. If you have bad afterlife Jew’s also vary, they believe either eternal life in Gehenna, reincarnation, or no afterlife.

7.1. One thing these two religions have in common is both Judaism and Christianity both originated in Jerusalem, Israel; Christianity originated in 30 C.E. and Judaism originated in 2000 B.C. Christianity’s founders are Jesus, Peter, and Paul. As for Judaism their founders are Moses and Abraham. Judaism’s original language is Hebrew, and Christianity's original language is Aramaic and Greek.

8.1. These religions have both spread a lot over the years. Christianity and Judaism have 2 major locations in common; Europe and North America. Another major location of Judaism is Israel and Christianity also has South America. Worldwide 4 billion people follow Christianity and 14 million people follow Judaism. Christianity is currently the largest religion and Judaism is the 12th largest.

9. Judaism vs Christianity Traditions/Holidays

9.1. Judaism and Christianity both have 3 major holidays. Christianity has Easter, Christmas, and Lent. Judaism has Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Hanukkah. Christmas and Hanukkah have one thing alike. The two holidays occur at the same time. The difference is Hanukkah commemorates the rededication of the Holy Temple, whereas Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus. One thing Jews do that Christians don’t is they eat Kosher. This means their dairy and meat products can never touch. Most Jews will eat their dairy and meat at different times of their meal.

10. Judaism's Impact on Christianity

10.1. Christianity is rooted from Judaism. The Old Testament which tells the story about how Judaism started is in the the Christian Bible. Christians often celebrate their Jewish past. Christians separated from Judaism when they accepted Jesus as their Savior.
