6. oblivious- not aware of or not concerned about what is happening around one

7. sublime- of such excellence, graneur, or beauty as to inspire great admiration or awe

8. psychopathic- suffering from or consulting a chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior

9. Plot Summary: The year is set in 2026 and there has been some sort of war or explosion and all of mankind is presumed dead, or at least you can infer that everyone is dead . Except for this one house, it is completely automated and even though everyone is gone the house continues to go on as if everything is normal. Mice that clean, robotic voices that read poetry, and tell you what you should be doing, tables that appear for card games and martinis that appear out of nowhere. A tree falls in the house on the oven and starts a house fire and burns the whole house down.

10. 1. The house is completely automated. From a oven that prepares all the meals, to a voice in the wall that tells you the weather, dates, and events happening that day.

11. 2. The five spots of paint on the wall was the deceased family. A boy, a girl, a mom and a dad

12. 3. I think everyone is dead because of a great fire or explosion

13. 4. The house had been protecting itself from almost everything, stray animals, leaves, anything that wasn't part of the family wasn't allowed in.

14. 5. The dog was thin and covered in sores because he hasn't eaten in awhile and he probably got burned in the fire/explosion

15. 6. The mice clean up the dogs carcass and put him down the incinerator

16. 7. It can be inferred that at 2:35 the family plays cards and the adults drink martinis

17. 8. At 4:30pm the children go into the nursery with the animals

18. 9. The name of the family is the McClellans

19. 10. To try and save itself the house tries shutting all windows and doors, it also attempts to

20. 11. The last dying voice is saying "Today is August 5th, 2026…" over 3 times before it dies completely.

21. 12. The Warning Bradbury is trying to deliver is don't let technology rule and run everything

22. Significant Quote: "The house was an altar with ten thousand attendants, big, small, servicing, attending in choirs. But the gods had gone away, and the ritual of the religion continued senselessly, uselessly." This is a hint of what happened to the family, and human race. Even though everyone is dead the house continues as if everything is the same, for no pour pose.
