7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full project?

1. I feel like I have improved massively since the start of the course, throughout the process as a whole I have learnt many new techniques that enabled my filming to be to the best of my ability. I have learnt key skills such as: Camera techniques, dialogue isn’t a major factor, the importance of everything making sense.
2. During my Western, i used basic techniques but throughout the process of filming the thriller i was able to learn the importance of varied shots. During the thriller i was able to use more match-on-actions which i think when used at the correct time create an effective view for the audience. In my thriller, i filmed a lot with the characters having a lot of dialogue, however after watching one of my drafts through i noticed that it gave away too much of the plot too quickly. So instead, i kept the same shots in but put music and sound effects over the top to that you can’t hear what they're saying, so the music creates a tense atmosphere for the audience.
