1. Lacrosse

3. Basketball

3.1. became an official sport in 1936.

3.2. The first official game was played in a YMCA gymnasium in Albany, New York, on January 20, 1892. The score was 1-0 and it was scored 25 feet away.

3.2.1. in 1936, Canada won a silver medal in the summer Olympics. United States got the gold medal.

3.2.2. the first official teams of basketball were Boston Celtics, Cleveland Rosenblums, Boston Whirlwinds and Brooklyn.

Due to their stellar play and the consequent rivalry between the Celtics and the Lakers throughout the 1980's, they practically saved the game until a new generation of stars like Jordan and Olajuwon came along to spurs continued growth.
