1. Melodramatic
1.1. Melodramatic because he was in love with Rosaline but now is in love with Juliet

2. Fate vs free will
2.1. It was fate that Romeo and Juliet met and Juliet turned out to be a Capulet and Romeo was Montague, it was free will that they got marred, it was fate when Romeo didn't get Frier Lawrence's letter and it was free will when Romeo and Juliet killed themselves.
2.1.1. ROMEO Who is her mother? NURSE Marry, bachelor, Her mother is the lady of the house, And a good lady, and a wise and virtuous. I nursed her daughter that you talked withal. I tell you, he that can lay hold of her Shall have the chinks. ROMEO O dear account! My life is my foe’s debt. (Act 1 scene 5 page. 6)
3. Protagonist
3.1. Friar Lawence because he wanted Romeo and Juliet to be togeather and also because he thought that if they got married then the Montague's and Capulet's wouldn't fight
3.1.1. FRIAR LAWRENCE These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which, as they kiss, consume. The sweetest honey. Is loathsome in his own deliciousness And in the taste confounds the appetite. Therefore love moderately. Long love doth so. Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow. (Act 2 scene 6 page. 1)
4. Dramatic Monolouge
4.1. Juliet is being Melodramatic because she is in love with Romeo and she is talking to her self about how she loves him.
4.1.1. JULIET 'Tis but thy name that is my enemy. Thou art thyself, though not a Montague. What’s Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot, Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part Belonging to a man. O, be some other name! What’s in a name? That which we call a rose By any other word would smell as sweet. So Romeo would, were he not Romeo called, Retain that dear perfection which he owes Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name, And for that name, which is no part of thee Take all myself. (Act 2 scene 2 Pg. 2)

5.1. (Man vs another individual)
5.1.1. TYBALT Thou, wretched boy, that didst consort him here Shalt with him hence. TYBALT Wretched boy, you hung out with him here, and you’re going to go to heaven with him. ROMEO This shall determine that. ROMEO This fight will decide who dies. They fight. TYBALT falls (Act 3 scene 1 page. 7)
5.2. (Man vs. Nature) Fate
5.2.1. ROMEO Here’s to my love! (drinks the poison) O true apothecary, Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die. (Act 5 scene 3 Page. 5) JULIET Yea, noise? Then I’ll be brief. O happy dagger, This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die. (stabs herself with ROMEO’s dagger and dies) (Act 5 scene 3 Page. 3)
5.3. (Wo/man vs. Society)
5.3.1. CAPULET Soft, take me with you, take me with you, wife. How, will she none? Doth she not give us thanks? Is she not proud? Doth she not count her blessed, Unworthy as she is, that we have wrought So worthy a gentleman to be her bride? JULIET Not proud you have, but thankful that you have. 6. Dramatic Irony
6.1. Mercutio makes jokes and puns
6.1.1. She is the fairies' midwife, and she comes In shape no bigger than an agate stone On the forefinger of an alderman, Drawn with a team of little agate Over men’s noses as they lie asleep. Her wagon spokes made of long spinners' legs, The cover of the wings of grasshoppers, Her traces of the smallest spider’s web, Her collars of the moonshine’s watery beams, Her whip of cricket’s bone, the lash of film, Her wagoner a small gray-coated gnat, Not half so big as a round little worm Pricked from the lazy finger of a maid. 7. Foil charecter
7.1. Mercutio is the opposite to Romeo. Mercutio is more extroverted while Romeo is more introverted because Mercutio is the one that wanted Romeo to go the Capulet’s party with him. Mercutio is also more sarcastic and makes jokes and puns unlike Romeo.
7.1.1. MERCUTIO Nay, I’ll conjure too! Romeo! Humours, madman, passion, lover! Appear thou in the likeness of a sigh! Speak but one rhyme, and I am satisfied. Cry but “Ay me!” Pronounce but “love” and “dove.” Speak to my gossip Venus one fair word, One nickname for her purblind son and heir, Young Abraham Cupid, he that shot so true. 8. Antagonist
8.1. Tybalt because he wants to fight Romeo but Romeo doesn’t want to fight him, he also killed Mercutio
8.1.1. TYBALT I am for you. (draws his sword) TYBALT I’ll fight you. (he draws his sword) ROMEO Gentle Mercutio, put thy rapier up. ROMEO Noble Mercutio, put your sword away. MERCUTIO Come, sir, your passado. MERCUTIO and TYBALT fight (Act 3 scene 1 Pg. 4).
