Relationships of Knowledge

1.1. Knowledge for practice-
1.1.1. Formal knowledge developed by researchers and scholars. Expert teachers are effective because of content knowledge, instructional knowledge, and theory knowledge. This knowledge is generated outside of classroom, studied (or learned) by teachers, and applied in personal contexts
1.2. Knowledge in practice-
1.2.1. Knowledge is learned during practice. Expert teachers are developed by practicing, reflecting, learning, and changing practice.
1.3. Knowledge of practice-
1.3.1. Knowledge is created when inquiry communities come together to solve local problems. Teachers reflect, collaborate, and problem solve issues in order to better the community.
